Yearly Motorway Toll Sticker 2019

(The transaction fee is charged for the administration of the purchase, which is due to the service provider)

In accord with effective regulations, the e-sticker must be purchased before actually entering a toll road (i.e. prior to the journey). Always purchase stickers prior to travel: e-sticker purchase has no retroactive validity; stickers purchased after travel means any previous travel is qualified as unauthorized road usage and a driver is subject to a surcharge.

Validity period of highway stickers

Trip (10-day) highway sticker

This sticker is valid from the beginning date specified by the customer and an additional 9 days, for a total of 10 consecutive calendar days until 24:00 hours of the 10th day.

Monthly highway sticker

This sticker is valid from the beginning date specified by the customer until 24:00 hours on the corresponding date in the next month. If this date is missing in the month in which the sticker expires, the sticker is valid until 24:00 hours of the last day of that month.

6-month (half-year) sticker (to be sold from June)

Combined monthly sticker This sticker actually means ordering 6 stickers (for six months) in combination.

Regional sticker

This sticker can be used for the national highway toll roads. Several e-stickers can be purchased for a single vehicle. This sticker is valid from the purchase date until midnight on January 31 of the following year. The annual sticker is valid from purchase date; it does not provide retroactive authorization.

Annual highway sticker

This sticker is valid from the day of purchase date until midnight on January 31 of the following year. The annual sticker is valid from the date of purchase; it does not provide authorization retroactively.

Buying combined monthly (6-month, 5-month, 4- month, 3-month or 2-month) stickers

Combined monthly (6-month, 5-month, 4- month, 3-month or 2-month) stickers offer the convenience of the annual stickers for mid-year customers. This sticker actually means ordering a sticker for 6 months, 5 months, 4 months, 3 months, or 2 months in combination. In addition to convenience, this unique solution is also cost-effective as in addition to a 6-month authorization, it also offers and extra 4–6-day eligibility, and only fifty percent of the 1-month handling fee is charged. It is important to note that the receipt for the combined monthly stickers include a 6-month, 5-month, 4- month, 3-month or 2-month sticker identifier.

When buying a combined sticker, carefully CHECK THE VEHICLE REGISTRATION NUMBER since correction or transfer of the vehicle registration number can result in additional costs, e.g. the 6-month, 5-month, 4- month, 3-month or 2-month stickers. (The transfer fee is HUF 1470 per sticker and character). The multiple transfer fee applies to transfer due to selling a vehcile and buying a new one.

In addition, care should be taken to pay special attention to the BEGINNING DATE and the CLOSING DATE OF VALIDITY when buying a combined sticker.

If a Customer enters a toll road without a valid receipt, they accept all responsibility and any possible fines. The Service Provider bears no responsibility.

Payment options

By making use of our payment options, purchase can be quickly and conveniently without registration. 
Please remember that authorized highway is only valid with the confirmation of a successful sticker purchase (with a sticker number).

Payment by bank card within minutes

Payment takes place through OTP Bank’s secure payment page. Any bank card suitable for payment through the Internet is accepted by the system. After successful payment, the highway sticker is immediately validated. 
The bank card data entered by the Customer on OTP Bank’s payment acceptance site are only accessible to and managed by OTP Bank.

Inspection – vehicles must have a valid sticker when entering a highway.

Payment of the toll may be checked at any time electronically on the basis of the vehicle registration number during travel – without stopping the vehicle.

Please retain the e-receipt (the confirmation message containing the serial number of the highway sticker when ordering online) for at least one year after expiry. Printing the authorization is unnecessary, but please retain the electronic version; it certifies authorization to use the highway. 

When buying a highway sticker, financial performance itself does not automatically authorize highway use. In every case, a valid sticker serial number is necessary for authorization.

Unauthorized road use

If at the time of on-site inspection or electronic inspection conducted on the basis of the vehicle registration number the vehicle does not have a valid authorization or a confirmation message sent by the Service Provider when using the electronic service, the driver must pay a surcharge on the basis of the fee category of the vehicle under inspection.
